Boston Computer Scanning was formed in 1992 to convert customer
engineering plans and maps into CAD. We started with one 36-inch
wide scanner, a PC, printer, fax/phone and two employees. Being
one of the first domestic CAD conversion services, our customer base
was nationwide within two years.
Customers liked our service so much that they were soon asking us to
scan documents other than plans and maps. Within 3 years, we were
scanning letter- and legal-size pages, index cards and other odd-size
documents. As technology evolved, we began to offer search
databases and full text search for scanned images. We now have
many scanners of varying sizes and capabilities from high-speed page
scanners to 36-inch wide color scanners.
Our customer base is as varied as the documents we scan. It includes
one-person, medium, and large architectural and engineering firms,
power companies, hospitals, manufacturers, government agencies,
cemeteries, water and sewer departments, museums, financial and
legal departments, and biotech and research firms.
Owned and operated by the original family of owners, we are
financially stable and have acquired no debt. Our overhead is low
enough for us to pass on real cost savings. We answer to our
customers only. We bring our 15 years of experience to the table
when we work for you.
